A person interested in beginning psychotherapy with Dr. Zayco is oftentimes experiencing emotional pain – fears, shame, aloneness, emptiness, numbness, sadness, anger. This pain feels stuck and can take on a life of its own, through isolation, self-sabotage, obsessions, compulsions, infidelity and affairs, regrettable behaviors. And yet, the person feels ready for a change – ready to begin a process of growth and healing. Dr. Zayco works with individuals by closely tracking emotional experience to help individuals achieve greater emotional awareness and mastery and improve relationship functioning.
Psychotherapy or mental health counseling sessions are generally 55 minutes in length of time. The duration and frequency of sessions are decided upon mutually between Dr. Zayco and each client, with some work being short-term and others longer-term. Psychotherapy or mental health counseling sessions focus on each client’s main sources of distress and emotional difficulty.

- Stress related to chronic or serious medical condition
